RDO Selected to Present the EFP Model at the GNC 2026 Global Event

Riverside Development Organization (RDO) is proud to announce that Nadeem Yousaf, [title], RDO, has been selected to present at the Global Nutrition Cluster (GNC) 2026 Global Event. The event takes place from 20 to 23 October 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland. It brings together humanitarian and development partners, experts and practitioners working to strengthen nutrition systems and improve the lives of vulnerable people around the world.

In a 5-minute Quick Talk, Mr. Yousaf will present the EFP Model, RDO's approach to integrating women's enterprise, nutrition screening and climate awareness in communities across Sukkur, Sindh. The model trains and supports local women as entrepreneurs who also act as frontline links for nutrition screening and awareness in their communities.

Through this approach, the project has screened 5,606 children and 5,256 pregnant and lactating women (PLW). PLW screening under the EFP Model has been around 60% higher than under regular community feeding points

These results show that when women are economically empowered, they become powerful agents for their families' health and their communities' resilience.The project is funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC). 

Being selected for a global platform such as the GNC Global Event recognizes the dedication of RDO's field teams, the women entrepreneurs, and the communities of Sukkur. It is also an opportunity to share a locally developed model with the wider humanitarian nutrition community.
